So since yesterday I have a warning “Reduced functionality front side radar” message and then a red warning EMA light coming on for the duration of the trip. Everything seems ok. I’ve cleaned the front sensors and the number plate area (which is where the manual says the radar is) but no good
Is this a trip to the garage? Or can I do something to remedy?

I had this issue too, this morning, cleaned the front camera and instantly the error was gone.

Not sure I have a front camera? My model doesn't have 360 cameras just a rear reversing one? Unless you mean the camera on the top of the windscreen?grumpyParkMaster wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 3:58 pm I had this issue too, this morning, cleaned the front camera and instantly the error was gone.

If giving the front of the car a good clean doesn’t clear the fault then I would take it to the dealer for a check.

Hi, did you get your issue resolved? If so, how?timk wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:57 amNot sure I have a front camera? My model doesn't have 360 cameras just a rear reversing one? I seem to have same issue with my new car and I only have rear cameras too.
The camera is not the parking camera on the front 'grill' that shows an image on the screen.
It is the camera behind the interior mirror that the car uses to detect road markings etc.
I got this warning 3 times in 8 months, and each time it seemed to have occurred when the bit of the windscreen on the inside of the camera housing got fogged up with condensation.
When the condensation cleared, the fault cleared - but only when the car was next unlocked and powered on again - not when the condensation cleared.

I’m resurrecting this thread, and yes I’ve cleaned the car several times
Over last few weeks I’ve been getting intermittent failure of ACC. Here’s a list of what can happen
1.On a clear road ACC engages and all is well until the car comes up behind a slower vehicle and doesn’t adjust speed - no vehicle shown in radar
2. When a vehicle is in front and showing on radar ACC then switched all good. Vehicle pulls into gap in front, radar doesn’t notice change
3. Vehicle in front ACC working fine, vehicle pulls out to overtake, radar does not pick up slower vehicle in front
4. Side radars seem fine
5. Lorries mistaken for cyclists
6. EMA, lane keeping aid, forward collision failure occasionally unavailable, then clears
If I remember other symptoms I’ll update.
I’m in contact with dealer so watch this space (quietly hoping it’s a calibration or software fix that’s needed but ….)
Edit 1 - now seeing car close up in daylight noticed that there’s separation between the bumper and the black plastic trim. No sign of collision damage

That sounds like the best place to start as something Cleary is not right. The ACC on the EX30 is not perfect by far but we have not experienced these sort of issues.
