Hi everyone,
I recently got a second-hand EX30, but I realized the dealer didn’t reset the car for a new user. While I was at the dealership, they helped me connect the app, but after performing a factory reset on the car, I’ve been unable to reconnect.
Now, I’m getting the error: “Could not connect - The QR code you scanned could not be verified. Please try again.”
Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I could finally add the car to the app. Now, I get the error "couldn't switch car".
I can mention that I could add the car by connecting the charger and charging it. So one problem solved, another came up!

Update 2: The Volvo on Call service tried to remove my account from their system VIDA and I have tried to pair again but without any luck...
Volvo will raise this issue internally and see what they can do...

Final update: The issue has been solved.
I have reached out to another Volvo retail. They checked their system VIDA, there everything was as usual. However in the backend, the previous owner's information was not deleted. Therefore I couldn't use the app.
They managed to wipe that information and asked me to wait a day to get their systems to sync. Now I could connect and use the app as I wish.

At last! Glad you got it sorted. As vehicles get more connected and reliant on external data connections and applications this is going to become a common scenario I fear. Not something we are used to as car owners really but will become an essential part of any delivery checks. Especially when buying second hand. You can imagine the chaos when cars like these get old enough to be outside the main dealer network and warranty. It was bad enough getting Volvo to sorts this out.
