So I've been meaning to post on the forum for a few weeks.

My 3rd Volvo, and second EV. Having driven pretty much every other car brand, including Mercs, BMWs and an Audi and VWs. Seen one other EX30 on the road (last week). When you take delivery, expect to have strangers stop you to ask about the car.
Range is now pretty much bang on accurate - so I can do 35 miles from full, mixture of motorway, city traffic and rural roads to my work in Watford, running the car on Eco with no Aircon for the car to then register 259 miles left. (I think it's as much about my driving style as the car settling in)
Navigating the menus is really quick for me now, I also just 'OK Google...' which works 90% of the time.
Build quality is good and the ride is lovely. I find the seats are not quite as comfortable as my other Volvos, but still way better than other brands. It's taken longer to get the adjustment just right.
Awaiting software update to 1.3, the charging limit issue I've gotten used to and the conectivity issues are very rare.
Downloaded Amazon Prime Video - currently watching Mythbusters re-runs :D

My wife is petrified of driving it partly due to gear shift stalk, any suggestions??

Sounds good - make sure to toggle on ‘dynamic’ range in the settings (under units I think) which will give you a more realistic range estimate!

@Twiex30 I thnk you missed the point on the range, for me having it on Dynamic is less accurate than WLTP. For example, this morning's commute set on Dynamic started on 233.6 miles range, drove 34.6 miles, Dynamic range now = 204.4. That's why I'm finding the WLTP range more accurate.

Welcome to this forum.

Perhaps you need to test-drive for a new wife?

I might be wrong but I think the WLTP range indicator just takes the published range and multiplies it by the state of charge for the battery eg WLTP range 290 miles x 50% indicated state of charge = 145 miles remaining range. This however doesn’t take account of all the factors that might reduce range in the real world like driving style, weather, ambient temperature, aircon etc etc. The dynamic range will factor these effects in and give a more realistic range.
