Hi all,
I am new to this forum. I own a EX30 Ultra Single Engine with additional packages and tow hook.
We have an issue that we constantly get alerts via the app that the car can be updated to 1.4. We currently have 1.3.1 installed (from the dealer). However, although 1.4 is an OTA update, the EX30 app says that OTA updates are disabled. Unfortunately, via the privacy settings, the OTA can't be set to enabled. No toggle button available like you see when setting the driving journal. My EX30 app version is 1.6 (Android). Even the app itself tells that it need to be set in the privacy settings.
Can someone tell me how this is possible as you can only set OTA in the app and not the car. Do we need to do something so that we can set it in the app?
Regards,
Martin
Can't set OTA update to 'enabled' in the EX30 app.

Welcome to this forum.
It's a known bug in the Android software. There is no actual "fix". You just have to keep waiting. I even tried reinstalling the app.
I had twenty notifications before the update successfully went through - unexpectedly I got the "install" message at nearly midnight in bed so I just said "yes" and it all went through fine.
Sideways for clarity:

From another post, I still don't know if it helped to "force" the installation.

Hello everyone.
I had the same as others with 12 notifications in the app over three days and no possibility to install it in the app or car.
I contacted the assistance and they told me they couldn't do anything remotely and guided me to the dealership.
But I noticed when I got the notification autodownload was shown as deactivated when starting the app and after restarting the app it always showed autodownload activated.
So after restarting the app when it showed autodownload activated I simply kept the app open in the background and got the installation notification the same afternoon and could update to V1.4
Not sure if it was because of the app still open in the background, but maybe someone wants to try and confirm. Or because they fixed it in the same time.
Cheers
Ben
