This is a really fascinating thread and now I am getting to know my car I want to understand the efficiency stats more clearly. This is my first EV and I am not that mathematically minded so would appreciate an idiots proof guide on how to interpret the efficiency figures. Any advice will be appreciated.
To interpret your range from the efficieny; say your reading was 25.0kw/100 miles and assuming the car usable battery capacity is 64kw (you’d need to check for your model - apparently the usable battery for twin motor is 64kw from what I’ve read on here and assume it’s same for the extended range)
You would divide 64/25 = 2.56
And then multiply 2.56 x 100 miles = a range of 256 miles with an efficiency reading of 25kw/100 miles.
You may use km but that would be the same calculation as above.
I hope a) the above is correct lol and b) not confusingly written!
These are the figures until today. 2/3 of the highway route (approx. 120kmh), half interurban and little urban use. I think that in miles it is equivalent to about 1000 miles and about 25Kw per 100 miles. Hot weather. Hell weather.

Has anyone experienced any ghost battery drain when parked? Earlier software versions of the model 3 were notorious for losing 5% overnight which after a week in an airport car park is enough to spoil your hols!
Is this an EX30 problem??
The other day, mine drain 2 or3 %. Think its normal. Here we are suffering very high temperatures(40°C), and I'm on holidays and dont have garage so the car is being hit by the sun almost 12 hours( ouchhh!), so the car use by itself the battery cooling to avoid damage. Think its normal.

I thought it'd be good to start a thread specifically about efficiency stats.
I have only just got my EX30 Performance and I almost cancelled it after having seen some horror stories and videos about the efficiency of it.
However, after having done a couple of longer journeys this week, I'm a lot more comfortable with it.
I did a mostly motorway drive of 78 miles last night sticking at between 75 and 80 mph and my efficiency (according to the app) was 27.35kWh/100 miles. Given that I had lights, aircon and the stereo on for that journey, I think that'd pretty good given the house brick aerodynamics of the car.
What are other people's experiences?
Cheers.
Richard.
Hi, where are you from?
I would like to buy an EV but I don't know what car buy between the EX30 and the Model 3

Do you have any advice?
Best advice: test drive both.
My personal advice? Having test drove both the new highland Model 3 and the Volvo EX30 several times, we bought the Volvo and haven’t looked back.
Reasons include:
Felt better put together (more solid, no creeks or rattles)
Was far quicker (comparing the Long Range model 3 versus the twin motor EX30)
Had more personality (with us falling in love with the blue seats and specked dash of the Breeze interior)
Felt smoother and quieter on the road
We found the software easier to use (especially the climate control screen
Had a 360 camera and parking sensors
Had a far better dealership experience (with Prosecco )
Was better value for money (with the AWD performance model in the Ultra trim costing similar money to a base Model 3 that had half the power)

Welcome to this forum.
They are very different. The Tesla was ruled out for me owing to its size and the lack of a hatchback - plus I really HATE the door handles!
However my brother has just replaced his 2020 Tesla 3 with a 2024 Tesla 3 - so he certainly likes it. The updated one is significantly improved internally.
Since this is an efficiency thread, I'll suggest that the Tesla has much better efficiency.
