Waze is working (but has some limitations compared to the phone app), only the interaction with the app is locked while driving, but the directions should be still active, only have to plan the trip in advance when the car is stopped.
Should be solved in the next EX30 update.

Waze only works if you set it then reverse first before moving off. It's fine then.

Adjust the speed limit to match the road speed limit here in Spain will be the russian roulette of driving, since you can suddenly find speed signs limited, due to works on the road, to 30 or 20 km/h, on a road with a speed of 90. Without prior signs of 60...40...this can result in braking with unforeseen consequences. In addition, at least so far, the EX30's signal recognition is "a little imprecise."

This option has always been in the manual, just not in the car.
I have had communication with Volvo about this and was told it would come in an update. It now has.
I understand that it will be the full ACC, but with the option of specifying the legal speed limit as the target speed instead of selecting your own target speed. In other words, in this setting, the car will always drive at the maximum allowed speed unless a slower vehicle is in front.
And if course, it will suddenly slow down (or speed up) without warning everytime it encounters a section of road where the speed limit data supplied by Google or captued by the camera is wrong.

Carplay shows as an app, this is because AAOS is not built for Carplay. Three concerns that I have is:
- The volume in Apple music is lower than any other music apps directly from AAOS. Anyone experienced it?
- There is "Ok Google" and "Hi Siri" at the same time, if I tried to use Ok Google while using Carplay, it will go out of the app, and then I have to click again to the Carplay icon to open the app. Do someone use it? or you think is better without it?
- Google maps in AAOS shows the % of battery I need to get to point A to B. While Google Maps on Carplay have bigger icons, narrow, and doesn't show the % of battery. Do you use Google maps more in Carplay than the AAOS version?
I'm a big fan of Apple's Carplay but I will still using AAOS and just for a couple of apps (e.g. Whatsapp) I will use it. I hope in the future Carplay have new cool/interesting upgrade.
Also I have Free LTE/5G Connectivity for 4 years in my ex30 and if I use Carplay, I will use my phone data.
BTW now there is a way to transfer your Apple Music Playlist to Youtube Music: https://support.apple.com/en-us/120030
I've been using Youtube music bc I already had Youtube Premium, and now I managed to have all my Apple Music playlists on the app.

Thanks for the update @joal. Waiting for the CarPlay update to see how it goes. In previous cars it was an easy choice as there were no real native apps to compete with. The satnav should be better when it is embedded in the car control system but this one seems to be suffering some glitches.
Twin Motor Ultra
I don't know if I've already asked this here or in another forum. I read a post on Reddit where they said how to try to install apks on the EX30. Has anyone tried to install an official apk, for example, WhatsApp? (downloaded from WhatsApp servers. No risk a priori). This Android apk works quite well on WearOS...which is Android, but not. Maybe something similar to AAOS regarding Android. Just in case some brave person has tried it...
